Bertrando makes Red Dragon all-tourney team

Women's volleyball 

CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Senior outside hitter Amy Bertrando (Westfield) was selected to the Cortland Red Dragon Classic all-tournament team at the end of the two-day competition Satuurday.

Bertrando had double-digits in kills in all four matches for the Blue Devils (2-2), including 12 vs. Nazareth and 18 vs. Skidmore on Saturday. She also had seven digs and three blocks in her team's 3-2 loss to Skidmore. Set scores were 17-25, 25-19, 25-21, 19-25 and 11-15.

Also, freshman middle blocker Chelsea Senn (Hamburg/Frontier) had 11 kills and 11 blocks vs. Skidmore, freshman setter Brittany Lis (Lancaster) 20 assists and 13 digs, and junior outside hitter Rebecca Zimmerman (Jamestown) seven kills, 12 digs, and three blocks. 

In their first Red Dragon Classic match of the day, Fredonia State topped Nazareth, 3-1, by set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 20-25 and 25-20. Sophomore opposite Jenna Tatu (Tonawanda/Kenmore West) had 11 kills, one short of Bertrando's team-leading total. Senior setter Alyssa Torpy (West Henrietta/Rush-Henrietta) collected 20 assists and eight digs, and freshman libero Sarah Zureck (Lancaster/St. Mary's) had team-highs with five aces and 17 digs.
