Volleyball 

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Blue Devil volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the Nazareth Invitational on Friday evening. They dropped the first match to New York University, 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-23), and fell to Heidelburg, 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-17).

Against NYU, Aurey Zimmerman (East Aurora) led the Devils with seven kills. Lindsay Olson (Portville), Jenna Tatu (Tonawanda/Kenmore West) and Chelsea Senn (Hamburg/Fronteir) had five kills apiece. Sarah Zureck (Lancaster/St. Mary's) had 13 digs. Jessica Ernstberger (Rochester/greece Arcadia) had 15 assists, and Brittany Lis (Lancaster/Lancaster) added 13.

NYU improved to 6-0 on the season.

Against Heidelberg (5-2), Lis added 13 assists to go along with 15 digs. Zureck added another 12 digs. Olson added a team-high five kills, to go along with nine digs and a pair of blocks.

The Devils, 3-4, take on New Paltz at noon in a non-conference match on Saturday. The second match is TBD.
