FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Hilbert College visits Steele Hall for a women's non-confererence basketball game Saturday afternoon, the first event of Fredonia State's second semester. Game time is 4 p.m.
The visiting Hawks bring an 0-9 record into the game while the Blue Devils are 5-3 heading into 2009.
Fredonia State is led offensively by senior forward Angela Pucciarelli (Fredonia), one of three Blue Devils averaging double figures in scoring. Pucciarelli averages 15.4 points per game, junior forward Merissa Gaeta (Kirkwood/Windsor) is next at 15.0 p.p.g., and junior forward Katie Landy (Jamestown/Southwestern) is averaging 13.1 points and a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game.
