Women's basketball
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Junior forward Katie Landy (Jamestown/Southwestern) had 28 points and 15 rebounds to lead Fredonia State to a 65-53 women's basketball victory over Morrisville State.
Junior forward Merissa Gaeta (Kirkwood/Windsor) added 15 points and seven rebounds while senior forward Angela Pucciarelli (Fredonia) added 10 points, all in the second half, for the Blue Devils (8-10, 2-8 SUNYAC).
Sybil Stanton had 25 points for the host Mustangs (2-13, 0-9 SUNYAC).
Fredonia State returns to SUNYAC action 4 p.m. Saturday at Plattsburgh.
