MEADVILLE, Pa. -- A pair of free throw by Angela Pucciarelli (Fredonia) with :04 seconds remaining broke a 46-all tie to give the Fredonia State Blue Devils a 48-46 victory over Waynesburg (Pa.) at the Allegheny College Invitational on Saturday.

Waynesburg (0-2) built a 27-23 at the half, and led until the 6:09 mark of the second half when a Katie Landy (Jamestown) layup tied the game at 38-all. The teams would see four more ties and a pair of lead changes, when Pucciarelli nailed her free throws to seal the game and give the Blue Devils the lead for good.

Landy led the Devils (3-1) with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Pucciarelli finished with 10 points and six boards. Jenny Brewer (Olean) led the Devils with six assists.

Waynesburg was led by Elisha Jones's 24 points.

Following the game, Pucciarelli was named to the All Tournament team.

The Devils are off until Tuesday, when they travel to D'Youville for a women's/men's doubleheader beginning at 6 p.m.
