BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Katie Landy (Jamestown/Southwestern) had 25 points to lead three players in double figures in Fredonia State's 71-56 road win over the D'Youville Spartans. 

Landy, a junior forward, was 10 of 20 from the field and grabbed nine rebounds. Junior forward Merissa Gaeta (Kirkwood/Windsor) added 14 points and six rebounds, while senior forward Angela Pucciarelli (Fredonia) had a double-double -- 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Blue Devils (4-1) shot 52.8 percent from the field to build a 44-27 halftime lead. The Spartans pulled within six points in the second half, but could get no closer.

Freshman guard Nicole Calbi (Olean) collected three assists, two steals, and one blocked shot for the Blue Devils. D'Youville's Holly Beats led her team with 18 points and 15 rebounds.

Fredonia State is back in action Saturday vs. Penn State Behrend at Steele Hall. Game time is 4 p.m.
