BOXSCORE: GENESEO 74, FREDONIA STATE 55

GENESEO, N.Y. -- Fredonia State was outscored by 18 points in the second half and fell to Geneseo, 74-55, in a SUNYAC road game Tuesday.

The host Knights took the lead for good late in the first half and pulled away by shooting 55.6 percent in the second half (15 of 27), including 5 of 7 from three-point range.

Fredonia State's largest lead in the first half was eight points, 25-17, on a three-point basket by Jenna Austin (Cherry Creek/Pine Valley). The Blue Devils were 4 of 7 from beyond the arc in the first half, but only 1 of 6 in the second half.

Merissa Gaeta (Kirkwood/Windsor) led the Blue Devils in scoring with 11 points and in rebounding with seven. The Knights had three players score in double figures, led by Khadija Campbell with 17 points.

Fredonia State fell to 10-12 overall and 6-10 in the SUNYAC heading into the final weekend of the regular season. They entertain two SUNYAC opponents, Oswego at 6 p.m. Friday and Cortland at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Geneseo improved to 13-10 overall and 9-7 in the SUNYAC.
