FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Buffalo State claimed a 60-53 overtime win at Fredonia State on Tuesday evening.

The Blue Devils opened the game with an 11-0 run, only to see Buffalo State tie the game at 20-all. The Devils would eventually take a 30-28 lead heading into halftime. Fredonia State senior Angela Pucciarelli (Fredonia) led all scorers with 11 points at the break. Devil junior Katie Landy (Jamestown) added 10 points.

The Devils would hold the lead for most of the second half until Buffalo State took its first lead of the game, 43-42, with 6:23 left to play on a layup by Francesca Reckley (Bronx/DeWitt Clinton). The Devils would reclaim the lead on their next possesion, but lead by no more than four points the rest of regulation.

Down 49-48 with :23.3 remaining, Buffalo State's Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster) stole the ball at mid-court and was fouled on a break-away-layup attempt. She made the second of two free throws to tie the game at 49-all and send the game into overtime.

Tied 53-all, Buffalo State's Yasmine Debnam (New York/Brentwood) made the first of a one and one free throw with 1:04 left in overtime to give the Bengals a 54-53 lead. The Bengals would eventually regain possession. Kiliszek would then make six free throws in the final :11.3 to ice the game and give the 60-53 final.

Fredonia State was paced by Landy's 20 points and 17 rebounds. Merissa Gaeta (Kirkwood) added a double-double of her own with 14 points and 14 boards. Pucciarelli finished with 12 points.
