POTSDAM, N.Y. -- Goals in the 11th and 63rd minute carried St. Lawrence to a 2-0 victory over Fredonia State in the first round of the Lotto North Country Classic.
Blue Devil senior goalkeeper Becky Scroger (Spencerport) made six saves while her teammates managed six shots of their own, only one on goal, by junior forward Lauren Heilweil (Binghamton/Chenango Forks).
The Blue Devils (0-1) are back in action Sunday vs. Clarkson.
