FREDONIA , N.Y. --Down 1-0 against Grove City, the Fredonia State women's soccer team rallied with three unanswered goals to snare a 3-1 victory in the opening round of the Days Inn Classic at University Stadium.
Hannah Yang got the Wolverines on the board in the 32nd minute with a shot from the top of the box that went off the glove of Devil netminder Becky Scroger (Spencerport).
Fredonia State's Reilly Condidorio (Leroy) then took charge offensively, scoring two goals and assisting on the other. Her first score came just over 40 minutes into the game on a penalty kick.
Condidorio then assisted Jessica Loretz (Maine Endwell) in the 68th minute to give the Blue Devils a 2-1 lead. Condidorio capped the scoring in th 77th minute on a short crossing pass from Lauren Heilweil (Binghamton/Chenango Forks).
Fredonia State outshot Grove City 18 to 10. Scroger made five saves, while Grove City's Diana Pragel was credited with a pair of stops.
The Blue Devils (2-1) play Penn State Behrend at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Behrend fell to the University of Rochester 5-1 earlier in the afternoon. Grove City (2-1) takes on Rochester at 3 p.m.
