FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Christa Morgante scored three minutes into overtime to lift Fredonia State over Medaille, 2-1, in women's soccer at University Stadium.

Morgante, a sophomore midfielder from East Amherst (Williamsville East), took possession of a deflected cross from junior forward Lauren Heilweil (Binghamton/Chenango Forks), and fired the winning shot into the upper right corner in the 93rd minute.

Heilweil also assisted on the first Fredonia State goal, a one-timer by freshman Reilly Condidorio (Leroy) in the 12th minute. The Blue Devils (4-1-0) held a 1-0 lead until the 25th minute when Medaille's Danielle Radlich (Clarence) scored the equalizer. The goal was unassisted.

The Blue Devils outshot their guests 22-8, but put only eight shots on net to Medaille's five. Senior goalkeeper Becky Scroger (Spencerport) was credited with four saves, while Medaille's Mattea Haessner (Moravia) stopped six shots.

The loss dropped the Mavericks to 1-4-0.
