ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Fredonia State junior Tom Williams (Queensbury) finished second overall Saturday at the Nazareth College Invitational. The Blue Devils were first in the team standings among eight teams in the meet.

Williams's 20:41 was second to Nazareth's Nick Stenuf, who 20:36 set a 6,000-meter course record. They were followed by Blue Devil senior Chris Walters (Tonawanda/Sweet Home), third overall in 21:14, and sophomore Eddie Novara (Angola/Lake Shore), fourth in 21:22. Sophomore Matt Kepler (Valley Cottage/Nyack) and sophomore Nick Guarino (Bergen/Byron-Bergen) were eighth and ninth, respectively.

On the women's side, junior Jessica Bennett (Rochester/West Irondequoit) and senior Trisha Ippolito (Angola/Lake Shore) were sixth and 10th overall in 16:18 and 16:30, respectively, for 4,000 meters. The next three Blue Devils were senior Laura Morroni (Elmira Heights/Edison), freshman Katie Krueger (Jamestown), and sophomore Hailey Guard (Youngstown/Lewiston-Porter).
