FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State junior Tom Williams (Queensbury) has been chosen SUNYAC Male Runner of the Week for the second time this season.
Williams finished second Oct. 11 at the Nazareth Invitational in a time of 20:41 for 6,000 meters. It was his third straight second-place finish this fall. He has also finished fifth once and was the men's winner Sept. 20 at the Fredonia State Invitational.
His previous SUNYAC Runner of the Week honor came on Sept. 15. He and Plattsburgh's Mike Heymann (three times) are the only multiple winners of the award this year.
Williams and his teammates will compete next at the University of Rochester this Saturday. The meet was added to the schedule Monday.
