MENS RESULTS
WOMENS' RESULTS

GENESEO, N.Y. -- The men’s and women’s cross country team ran in the Geneseo Invitational at Letchworth State Park on Saturday. The Blue Devil men finished fourth as a team out of 24 schools.

Host Geneseo was first with a score of 23. RIT (65), Rochester (74) and Fredonia State (104) rounded out the top four.

Eddie Novara (Angola/Lake Shore) led the way for the Devils with a third place finish time of 25:33 in the 283-man field. Nick Guarino (Bergen/Byron-Bergen) placed tenth with a time of 26:01.

Mac McMahill (Hemlock/Livonia) ran well finishing third for the team and 33rd overall in a time of 26:56. Matt Kepler (Valley Cottage/Nyack) and Tom Williams (Queensbury/Queensbury) came in together at 37th and 38th with times of 27:05 and 27:06, respectively.

The women finished 11th out of 23 schools.

Geneseo women won the meet with 41 points. 

Top Devil runners were Nichole Bochman (Jamestown/Jamestown) who was 28th of 216 finishers in a time of 24:05. Shannon Gowen (Clarence/Clarence) finished 66th in a time of 25:50, Hailey Guard (Youngstown/Lewiston-Porter) was 118th in a time of 27:08, Ashley Cocuzzi (Webster/Webster-Schroeder) was 129th in a time of 27:29, Kate Brett (Webster/Webster-Schroeder) was 134th in a time of 27:39 and Katie Krueger (Jamestown/Jamestown) was 142nd in a time of 28:03. 

“Overall the course ran really slow today,” said head coach Jeff Beck. “ and the times showed it. It was a good mid-season checkpoint for both teams and we have a lot to work on.”
