CHAMPIONSHIP MEET WEBSITE
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State sophomore Eddie Novara (Angola/Lake Shore) has qualified for the NCAA Division III cross country championships.
Novara will represent the Blue Devils at the NCAA meet Nov. 21 at Highland Park Golf Course in Highland Hills, Ohio.
Baldwin Wallace College is the meet host.
Novara finished 22nd in the Atlantic Regional held Nov. 14 at Letchworth State Park in Mount Morris, N.Y. As a result, he was one of 56 individuals added to the NCAA men's field, broken down as the first seven finishers from each of the eight regions who were not members of a qualifying team.
Thirty-two teams were selected to participate in each championship race (men's and women's). The top two, seven-person teams automatically qualified from each of the eight regions, for a total of 16 teams. Sixteen additional teams were selected at-large.
