Blue Devils rout D'Youville

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State baseball team routed D’Youville at home Wednesday, 25–4.

The Blue Devils used four different pitchers in the game. Sophomore Jeremy Borst (Clarendon, Pa./Warren) started the game, while freshman Justin Nowak (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) was credited with the win. Juniors Jeremy Hulbert (Newfield/Newfield) and Brandon Miller (Ripley/Ripley) closed out the game.

The Blue Devils had 22 hits, including eight doubles. Their biggest scoring inning was the third when they batted around and scored 10 runs. Senior first baseman Jim Kunkemoller (West Seneca/St. Francis) led the offense with three hits, including a double. Junior Kevin Malaney (Amherst/Amherst) had two doubles.

The Blue Devils (5-8) return home Saturday for a doubleheader vs. the Oswego State Lakers, beginning at noon.
