The Blue Devils (7-8, 2-0) won by scores of 8-4 and 5-4, respectively. Noah Huard went 7 1/3 innings, striking out five and walking three for the Game 1 victory, improving his season record to 2-2. Jim Kunkemoeller broke open a 1-1 game in the bottom of the fifth inning with a two-run double. Kyle Adams had three hits for Fredonia State while Mike Austin had two hits and Phil Gavin tripled. Kevin Malaney had a triple and a two-run home run in the night cap as Fredonia State notched two runs in the first inning and led the rest of the way. Tom Hausler went 5 1/3 innings, striking out five and walking three. Jordan Basile had two hits for the Blue Devils.
