The Blue Devils dropped the first game, 8-3. Pitcher Noah Huard (Buffalo/City Honors) took the loss. Phil Gavin (Rochester/Greece Olympia) and Trey Johnson (Sinclairville/Cassadaga Valley) each had an RBI. Kyle Adams (Naples/Naples) had the lone extra-base hit for the Blue Devils, a double. Fredonia State won the second game, 9-4, as Rob Hermann (Trumansburg/Trumansburg) had four RBI, including a three-run homer in the second inning. Dan Taurisani (Utica/Proctor) had three RBI and scored three runs. Hermann, Taurisani, and Gavin had two hits each. The winning pitcher was Tom Hausler (Williamsville/Williamsville East) was credited with the win. Matt Bauman (Alden/St. Francis) pitched 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief. The Blue Devils' scheduled doubleheader Sunday at Oneonta has been postponed.
