Johnson named SUNYAC Baseball Player of the Week

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Trey Johnson (Gerry/Cassadaga Valley) earned the SUNYAC Baseball Player of the Week honors after a big week at the plate.

He batted .683 in six games (15 for 22). In four conference contests, Johnson hit at a .750 clip (12 for 16), leading the Blue Devils to a 3-1 mark. He had a career high four hits in a 21-5 win over Plattsburgh.

For the week, he also collected two doubles, one home run, stole four bases, scored five runs and drove in seven.

Johnson upped his season average to .446.
