Joe Kephart singled, was sacrificed to second, went to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a throwing error with two outs. Andy Dlugosz pitched two scoreless innings of relief to pick up the win, a 9-8 triumph after the Blue Devils (15-17) dropped Game 1, 14-7. Fredonia State had eight hits in the nightcap, including a three-run triple by Jeremy Borst. Borst added a single, Rob Herrmann also had two hits, and Jarrod Surine picked up two RBI. The first game saw the two teams combine for 28 hits -- 13 by the Blue Devils. Bryan Bongiovanni showed the way with a double and two singles while Rob Herrmann had two doubles, Borst two singles and two RBI, and Dan Murphy a double and two RBI. Fredonia State used six pitchers with starter Alan Schoeneck taking the loss. The Blue Devils return to SUNYAC action with a pair of home games Saturday vs. Cortland starting at noon, and a pair vs. Oneonta on Sunday, also at noon. -------
