The Devils wasted no time, plating five runs in the first and two more in the second. The Devils would eventually lead 18-3 until the final inning. The Devil's offense was paced by freshman Tommy Dee's four hits. Bryan Bongiovanni, Josh Greco and Jordan Basile collected three hits apiece. The Devils had a season-best 20 hits. Basile, Greco and Kevin Malaney drove in three runs apiece. Alan Schoeneck was credited with the win. He went six innings and surrendered seven hits while striking out two and walking none. Two of the runs were earned. The Spartans rallied late for seven runs in the ninth, aided by seven walks and a hit batter off reliever Eric Vohwinkel. The Devils (8-10) travel to St. John Fisher on Wednesday.
