It is the most Blue Devils to make All SUNYAC in a single season since before 1975. The 2003 team netted four All-SUNYAC choices. A transfer from Mercyhurst College, Kunkemoeller appeared in 24 games for the Blue Devils and batted a league-leading .467 with nine doubles, two home runs, and 16 RBI. He was also third in SUNYAC in slugging percentage (.667) and third in on-base percentage (.522). His .467 batting average was also the highest by a Blue Devil in at least the last 26 seasons, .002 better than Jamie Ricigliano's .465 in 2001. The SUNYAC Second Team included four Blue Devils: junior second baseman Bryan Recchia (Webster/Webster-Schroeder), junior outfielder and repeat choice Phil Gavin (Rochester/Greece Olympia), junior catcher Dan Murphy (Eden/Eden), and sophomore pitcher Noah Huard (Buffalo/City Honors). Recchia posted a .297 batting average, hit one homer, and tied for the team lead with seven stolen bases. Gavin, also a Second Team choice in 2005, batted .336 in 35 games and led the Blue Devils with 39 hits. Murphy batted .319 and made only one error in 121 chances. Huard had a 3-2 record with a 3.63 earned run average. He averaged nearly one strikeout per inning (33 Ks in 34 2/3 innings) and limited opposing batters to a .262 composite batting average. 2006 SUNYAC Baseball All-Conference Team
