Miller lost the no-hitter -- and a 1-0 lead -- on a Sam Gioia (West Seneca/West Seneca West) home run in the top of the seventh inning. The Blue Devils (3-16) rallied in the last of the seventh inning. Richie Bartkowiak (Fredonia/Fredonia) led off the inning with a line-drive single. Shane Morrison (Elmira/Notre Dame) advanced Bartkowiak to second with a sacrifice bunt. Bret McCabe (Buffalo/St. Francis) then stroked a game-winning double to give the Blue Devils the 2-1 win. Miller finished with 12 strikeouts in earning his second win of the season. McCabe, Bartkowiak, Matt Baudo (Buffalo/St. Joe's), and Tim Lockhart (Youngstown/Lewiston-Porter) finished with multi-hit games for Fredonia. Fredonia State went on a hitting barrage in the second game for a 12-6 victory. David Tubbs (Forestville/Forestville) was the winning pitcher. Tubbs finished the final five innings, allowing three hits and three runs. All three runs scored as Gioia hit his second homer of the day, a three-run shot, in the seventh. McCabe and Scott Herdzik (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) each collected a pair of hits.
