In game one, Fredonia State took a 2-0 lead on RBI doubles by Scott Herdzik Dunkirk/Dunkirk) and Brandon Miller (Ripley/Ripley). Oswego then took the lead with a three-run sixth. Garrett Tallini connected for a two-run home run on an 0-2 fastball off Herdzik to tie the score two all. Dave Johnson added an RBI single to give Oswego a 3-2 lead. The Lakers added five more in the top of the seventh to take control of the game. Fredonia State would score a run in the ninth on a Bret McCabe (Buffalo/St. Francis) fly ball to right to give the 8-3 final. Tallini paced the Lakers with three hits. Johnson and Nick Perioli also added a pair of hits for Oswego. Mike Cortellini earned the victory on the mound, while Herdzik absorbed the loss. In game two, Oswego took a 3-2 lead into the top of the sixth. Matt Kimpland and Matt Clonick each drove in a pair of runs and Perioli knocked in another as Oswego had their second five-run inning on the day. The Lakers would go on to win the game 10-3. Brett Seyfried pitched seven innings to earn the win. The Blue Devil offense was led by Miller with three hits in the doubleheader. Herdzik ripped a pair of doubles.
