The Devils managed only two hits in the opener -- singles by Mike Austin and Kyle Adams -- in a 9-0 loss. The hitting woes continued in game two, a 7-2 loss, as the team only managed three hits, two by John Papierski. The Devils were their own worst enemy, as five of the seven runs scored by the Yellow Jackets reached base via walk or hit batter. A quartet of pitchers did limit Rochester to only two hits in the game. However, six walks and four hit batsmen negated that effort. The Blue Devils play host to Oswego Saturday at Ludwig Field. Gametime is noon for the SUNYAC opener for both teams.Athletics Home | Fredonia Home
