The cheerleaders have made arrangements with The Invention Room, Water Street, Fredonia to have free makeover haircuts given April 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to students and area residents. The hair must be 5 to 10 inches long. It will be donated to Locks of Lock used to provide hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 who have experienced medical hair loss. The children receive the hairpieces free of charge or on a sliding cost scale, based on financial need. The cheerleaders – who have been letting their hair grow during the school year – will hold a Locks of Love registration for possible donors on April 11 and April 12 in the Williams Center on the Fredonia State campus.
