NCAA Compliance
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Mandatory NCAA compliance meetings for Fredonia State student-athletes will be held three days this fall.
Fall teams arriving early -- cheerleading, cross country, women's soccer, women's tennis, and women's volleyball -- will meet this Sunday, Aug. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at McEwen 209. Student-athletes who miss the meeting will be held out of practice indefinitely and will not be allowed to join their teammates until they have attended a subsequent meeting.
A separate meeting for the men's soccer team will be held as per notification from head coach P.J. Gondek.
The two remaining compliance meetings are Thursday, Aug. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in McEwen 202, and Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in McEwen 209. Remaining fall, winter, and spring student-athletes are required to attend one of the two sessions to be eligible to compete during the 2008-09 school year.
At each of the three meetings, student-athletes should bring a pen to fill out required NCAA and Fredonia State paperwork. They should also bring their FREDCard. Each meeting will last approximately one hour.
Student-athletes should watch the Fredonia State athletics website for changes in the meeting schedule. They should also contact their coach if they have questions about the schedule.
