Unlike Friday's match when the Blue Devils (1-3-0) dictated the action, it was Elizabethtown that held the statistical advantage. The Blue Jays outshot the Devils 20-4 and held a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks. The game's only goal came at the 61:38 mark in the second half. Jenny Fromuth (Wyomissing, Pa.) connected from 18 yards out on a pass from the foot of Brooke Dotterer (Spring City, Pa.). Angela Freeland (Marlton, N.J.) earned the shutout win with nary a save. The Blue Jays improved to 3-1-0 overall and won the Blue Devil Days Inn Classic title, which also included a 2-0 win Friday over Mount Union. Becky Scroger (Spencerport) made nine saves for the Blue Devils against one goal. Her team nearly tied the game late in the second half when Lauren Heilweil (Binghamton/Chenango Forks) took a hard shot from inside the box, but struck the cross bar. The Blue Devils kept up the pressure the rest of the way but were unable to net the equalizer. In other action, Mount Union humbled Medaille College with a 5-0 victory. Dierdre Dick (Mansfield, Ohio) scored two goals, and Jenn Scrimenti (Highland Heights, Ohio), Taylor Simeone (Massilon, Ohio), and Dana McGill (Euclid, Ohio) added one apiece. Raiders goalkeeper Kaitlyn Mallernee (Dover, Ohio) made 10 saves while Medaille goalkeeper Mattea Haessner (Moravia) recorded 21 saves. The Purple Raiders (2-2-0) outshot the Mavericks(3-1-1), 37-17, and also held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
