Down 2-0 after the first period, the Blue Devils (6-5-3) scored seven unanswered goals -- including four by Sheehan and one each by sophomore Matt McKeown (Niagara Falls, Ont.), freshman Pat Capella (Syracuse), and sophomore Bryan Goudy (Port Huron, Mich.). Capella's goal was recorded as the game-winner. Sophomore Richard Boyce (Mississauga, Ont.) and junior Steve Albert (Port Huron, Mich.) completed the scoring with goals late in the third period. For Boyce, it was his first goal as a collegian. Ten Blue Devils had at least one point each, and five had multiple points. In addition to Sheehan, who had three assists along with the four goals, McKeown and Capella had one goal and three assists each, freshman Matt Pfalzer (Getzville) had four assists, and Goudy had one goal and two assists. Sophomore Kevin Amborski (Bloomfield) was the beneficiary of the offensive outburst. Making his first start in net, Amborski stopped 32 shots. His only blemish was three goals allowed by Johnson & Wales's Craig Houle. The Blue Devils return to action 7 p.m. Saturday at Wentworth.
