Senior goaltender Rick Cazares (San Jose, Calif.) stopped 29 shots to earn the shutout. Cazares was playing for the first time this season after sitting out Friday's 3-2 Blue Devil win over Cortland. Senior forward Tom Briggs (Fruitport, Mich.), sophomore defenseman Steve Albert (Port Huron, Mich.), and junior forward Will Barlow (Oakville, Ont.) each scored one goal for the Blue Devils (2-0-0). Brockport freshman goaltender Devin Ramasawamy (Willowdale, Ont.) stopped 39 of 42 shots. Albert, who had two assists Friday vs. Cortland, was chosen most valauble player of the Challenge. Chosen to the all-tournament team were junior forward Scott Bradley (Belleville, Ont.) and junior forward Joe Muli (Sioux Lookout, Ont.) from Fredonia State, three players from tournament runner-up Cortland, and one player from Buffalo State. The Cortland selections were senior goaltender Matt Meacham (Massena, N.Y.), freshman defenseman Mike Egan (Smithtown, N.Y.), and senior forward Matt Schillace (Auburn, N.Y.).
