The Blue Devil's Steve Albert (Port Huron, Mich.) opened the scoring early in the first period on a power play. Neal Sheehan (Avon Lake, Ohio) scored the Devil's second power play goal of the period to forge a 2-0 lead. Potsdam scored its first goal at 7:23 of the second period on a power play by Kevin MacLellan. Bryan Goudy (Port Huron, Mich.) scored the third the Blue Devil scoring near the mid-point of the second period, also on a power play, to make it 3-1 Devils. The Bears came back with two unanswered power play goals. Brandon Cribari scored at 11:12 of the second period, and Connor Treacy scored at 13:04 of the third period. The Bears opened up the overtime period with a full two minute power play, but could not convert on any chances. Neither team would score during the period, with each goalie make one save apiece. Kevin Amborski (Bloomfield) earned the tie in net for the Blue Devils with 32 total saves. Fredonia State is 3-2- overall, and 1-1-1 in SUNYAC play. Potsdam's record stands at 2-3-1 overall, and 1-2-2 in the SUNYAC. The Devils will play the Plattsburgh Cardinals Saturday in Steele Hall. Game time is 7 p.m.
