Devils, Lakers tie

OSWEGO, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's hockey team skated to a 3-all overtime tie at Oswego on Saturday.

The Blue Devils (5-3-3, 3-2-2 SUNYAC) scored twice in the first period with goals by Bryan Goudy (Port Huron, Mich.) and James Muscatello (Baldwinsville) to take a 2-0 lead.

The Lakers (5-3-2, 5-1-1) would bounce back with two scores of their own -- the second on a Ryan Ellis penalty shot -- before the period came to a close.

Neither team would score in the second period.

Richard Boyce (Mississauga, Ont.) would score the go-ahead goal for the Devils at 11:26 into the third period to give the Devils a 3-2 edge.

Francois Gagnon tied the game for Oswego on a power play at 16:43 of the third period.

Neither team would score in the final frame.

Kevin Amborski (Bloomfield) made 34 saves for the Devils. Ryan Scott and Chris Hyk combined for 20 saves for the Lakers.
