Freshman goaltender Pat Street (Annapolis, Md.) stopped 39 of 40 shots to stymie the potent Geneseo offense. Street shutout the Ice Knights until 7:38 of the third period. The Devils scored first on a power play with :25 seconds left in the opening period when Kyle Bozoian found net with his fourth goal of the season. Steve Albert (Port Huron, Mich.) and Colin Sarfeh (Laguna Niguel, Cal.) assisted. The Devils advanced to a 2-0 lead near the end of the second period with a shorthanded goal. Bryan Goudy (Port Huron, Mich.) would score on an assist from Neal Sheehan (Avon Lake, Ohio). Geneseo answered in the third frame, as Mathieu Cyr (New Maryland, New Brunswick) drove home a power play goal with just over seven and a half minutes left in the period. Assists came from Tyson Terry (Abbotsford, B.C.) and Steve Sankey (N. Vancouver, B.C.). The game featured 25 total penalties, 13 going against the Blue Devils. The Devils were one for 11 on power play opportunities. Geneseo was one for 12. Geneseo goaltender Derek Jokic (Petersburg, Ont.) put in a game effort minding the net. He was credited with 30 saves. The win improved the Devils to 5-4-1 on the season and 3-3-0 in the SUNYAC. Geneseo, ranked No. 14 in the most recent USCHO poll, falls to 8-4-0 overall and 4-2-0 in conference play. Fredonia State plays host to Brockport on Saturday. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. start at Steel Hall.
