Neumann sweeps Blue Devils

ASTON, Pa. -- The Neumann Knights completed their weekend sweep of the Blue Devils with a 7-4 victory Saturday.

Jesse Cole scored three goals for the Knights (8-4-0), while Neil Trimm had one goal and three assists.

Sophomore Neil Sheehan (Avon Lake, Ohio) had two goals for the Blue Devils (6-5-2), who have lost three straight.

Junior Kraig Kuzma (Muskegon, Mich.) and junior Kyle Bozoian (St. Charles, Mo.) had one goal each. Senior Matt Zeman (Rocky River, Ohio) was credited with two assists.

Neumann goaltender Brett Leonhardt stopped 29 of 33 shots, while Fredonia State senior Rick Cazares (San Jose, Calif.) made 22 saves.

Neumann defeated the Blue Devils, 3-2, on Friday night for their first win the in the history of the series after nine straight losses.

The game ended the first semester for the Blue Devils.
