Devils, Bears tie at 3-3

POTSDAM, N.Y. -- Sophomore forward Neal Sheehan (Avon Lake, Ohio) scored the equalizer in Fredonia State's 3-3 SUNYAC tie Friday with the Potsdam Bears.

Sheehan scored at 17:06 of the second period as the Blue Devils (6-2-3, 3-1-2 SUNYAC) rallied from a 3-2 deficit on the road.

It was Sheehan's sixth goal of the season.

Senior goalkeeper Rick Cazares (San Jose, Calif.) stopped 26 of 29 shots, including five in overtime.

Junior forward Will Barlow (Oakville, Ont.) and sophomore defenseman Noah Hamilton (Carlisle, Ont.) had Fredonia State's first two goals. Hamilton's tally came at 6:21 of the second period and gave the Blue Devils a 2-1 lead.

The Bears (3-6-2, 2-3-1 SUNYAC) took the lead with two goals in a span of 29 seconds later in the period.

Fredonia State plays Saturday at Plattsburgh. Faceoff is 7 p.m.
