Fredonia State gets SUNYAC road win
BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Fredonia State defeated Brockport 7-4 in SUNYAC play Saturday night.
Neal Sheehan (Avon Lake, Ohio) scored his second goal of the night to break a 4-4 tie at 18:38 in the second period. Fredonia State's Colin Sarfeh and Will Barlow each added a goal in the third period.
Fredonia State's Kraig Kuzma (Muskegon, Mich.) also had two goals, both coming in the second period.
Steve Albert (Port Huron, Mich.) had three assists for the Blue Devils.
Pat Street (Annapolis, Md.) and Kevin Amborski (Bloomfield) split time at goal. Street allowed four goals and made 20 saves. Amborski made 10 saves and allowed no goals. Brockport's Greg Van't Hof made 33 saves and allowed seven goals.
Brockport had 13 penalties for 50 minutes in the third period.
The win brought the Blue Devils to 12-8-4 overall and 5-6-2 in the SUNYAC. Brockport dropped to 6-11-7 overall and 2-6-5 in the SUNYAC.
Fredonia State will play the season finale next Friday night as they play host to Buffalo State. A Fredonia State win or tie will result in a home playoff match. A loss would result in a first-round matchup on the road.
