Senior forward Neal Sheehan (Avon Lake, Ohio) had one goal and one assist and sophomore goaltender Pat Street (Annapolis, Md.) made 30 saves as the Blue Devils (12-7-3, 8-3-2 SUNYAC) dealt the Plattsburgh Cardinals a 3-1 defeat at Stafford Ice Arena. It was the first home loss of the season for the Cardinals (19-3-0, 12-1-0 SUNYAC), ranked No. 3 in this week's USCHO.com NCAA Division III poll. They were 13-0 at home before Saturday. It was also Plattsburgh's first home loss since dropping the 2007 SUNYAC title game to the Blue Devils, 6-4, last March 3. The Blue Devils jumped to a 1-0 lead Saturday as junior Bryan Goudy (Port Huron, Mich.) tallied his seventh goal of the season at 1:32 of the first period. Junior Matt McKeown (Niagara Falls, Ont.) made it 2-0 at 10:29 of the second period, his fifth goal of the year. Sheehan's 10th goal of the season came at 10:10 of the third period, resulting in a 3-0 Fredonia State lead. Plattsburgh's Joey Williams ruined Street's shutout bid at 18:38 of the third period. The Cardinals outshot the Blue Devils, 31-20, with Cardinal goaltender Bryan Hince receiving credit for 17 saves. The Blue Devils close out the home portion of the regular season with two SUNYAC games next weekend -- Friday vs. Cortland, and Saturday vs. defending national champ Oswego. -------
