Both teams skated to a scoreless first period. The Golden Eagles then exploded for three scores in the second period. Gordon Pritchard and Ian MacLean converted power play goals, and Chris Cantara added a short-handed goal. Ryan Shannon wrapped up the scoring on an empty-netter with :17 left in the game. The Blue Devils (13-3-3 NCAA, 7-2-1 SUNYAC) outshot Brockport 43-30. Andy Reynolds was credited with the shutout as Brockport improved to 8-12-1 overall and 2-7-1 in conference play. Fredonia State goaltender Rick Cazares (San Jose, Calif.) had 26 saves. The Blue Devils are back in Steele Hall next weekend, playing host to Plattsburgh on Friday and Potsdam Saturday.
