The Blue Devils (13-1-2 NCAA, 7-0-1 SUNYAC) rallied twice from two goals down, led 4-3 on a goal by Matt Zeman (Rocky River, Ohio), only to have the resilient Bengals (5-12-2, 1-5-2) bounce back one last time. Zeman's goal, his second of the game and 16th of the season, put Fredonia State ahead for the first time, 4-3, at 15:13 of the third period. Just 23 seconds later, Buffalo State's Mike DeMarco (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) scored a power-play goal to forge a 4-4 tie to the disappointment of a season-high crowd of 1,024. Buffalo State held leads of 2-0 and 3-1 on goals, in order, by Morgan McElman (Bayside, N.B.), Sean Burke (Barrie, Ont.), and Greg Prybyski (Cheektowaga). The goals by McElman and Burke were the result of second-period power plays by the Bengals. Brian Kolesar (Broadview Heights, Ohio) and Kraig Kuzma (Muskegon, Mich.) had power-play goals for the Blue Devils. The teams combined for 96 shots -- 50 by Fredonia State. Buffalo State goaltender Sean Sheehan (Mt. Laurel, N.J.) made 46 saves. Fredonia State goaltender Rick Cazares (San Jose, Calif.) stopped 42 of 46 shots.
