The four goals gave Zeman six this season in three games and 21 goals in 31 games over two seasons. It was also the fourth time a Fredonia Stae player had four goals in one game. The school record for goals in a game is five. Sophomore Joe Muli (Sioux Lookout, Ont.) and freshman Adam Haberman (Novi, Mich.) had the other goals for the Blue Devils (2-1-0). Muli also had an assist. Sophomore Brian Kolesar (Broadview Heights, Ohio) had two assists. Junior goaltender Simon Maignan (Pully, Switzerland) made 23 saves. He was the third of the three Blue Devil goaltenders to start a game this season. Buffalo State led 1-0 when Zeman scored his first goal of the night at 12:25 of the first period. Haberman put his team ahead to stay at 19:38 of the period, and Zeman made it 3-1 Fredonia State with the only goal of the second period. The Blue Devils put the game out of reach with with three goals in a span of 3 minutes, 19 seconds early in the third period. Zeman's was the game's No. 1 star, Buffalo State's Greg Prybyski was No. 2 on the strength of two goals and one assist, and Muli was No. 3.
