Berman, a freshman, scored his three goals in succession, interrupted by only one St. Clair goal, and put the Blue Devils (8-1-1) into the lead for good, 3-2, on a power play at 17:55 of the second period. He also had an assist. The other Fredonia State goals were scored by sophomore Kyle Bozoian (St. Charles, Mo.), senior Max Catelin (Grenoble, France), and sophomore Joe Muli (Sioux Lookout, Ont.). Sophomore goaltender Rob Stanley (New York) made 23 saves in his second appearance of the season. He improved to 8-2-1 in two seasons with the Blue Devils. Freshman Neal Sheehan (Avon Lake, Ohio) and freshman Adam Haberman (Novi, Mich.) added three assists each. Both St. Clair goals were scored by junior David Lewis (Dundas, Ont.). The two teams were whistled for 35 penalties -- 19 against the Saints (5-6-1). The Blue Devils took advantage by connecting for five power-play goals (on 13 chances). In addition, they were 12 of 13 on the penalty kill. The Blue Devils outshot the Saints, 28-25. Following Thanksgiving break, the Blue Devils face Oswego on Dec. 3 at Steele Hall.
