The Blue Devils (11-1-1) defeated the Knights (0-12-1) on Friday night, 3-2. Sophomore Joe Muli (Sioux Lookout, Ont.) scored in the first period on a power play for a 1-0 Fredonia State lead. Freshman Adam Haberman (Novi, Mich.) and senior Chris Wells (Plattsburgh) assisted. Freshman Neal Sheehan (Avon Lake, Ohio) made it 2-0 at 5:54 of the second period, assisted by sophomore Don Jaeger (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.). Neumann's Kevin Droddy (West Palm Beach, Fla.) scored :32 seconds into the third period while his team had a 5-on-3 advantage. Junior Nick Malina (Grand Rapids, Mich.) closed out the scoring for the Blue Devils at 3:08 of the third period. Sophomore Matt Zeman (Rocky River, Ohio) earned an assist and his 26th point of the season. Junior Rick Cazares (San Jose, Calif.) stopped 22 of 23 shots and improved to 8-1-1 on the season. Neumann freshman goaltender Mike Collichio (Rochester) earned the No. 1 star with 40 saves.
