St. Clair completes exhibition sweep

WINDSOR, Ont. – St. Clair College defeated Fredonia State, 4-3, to complete their two-game home sweep of the Blue Devils in men's exhibition hockey.

Freshman Adam Haberman (Novi, Mich.) scored on a tip at 9:03 of the first period to cut the St. Clair lead in half at 2-1.

The Saints scored the next two goals, including the second with :16 seconds left in the second period, to open a 4-1 lead.

Sophomore Scott Bradley (Belleville, Ont.) and junior Steve Greenberg (East Lansing, Mich.) scored for the Blue Devils in the third period for the final margin.

Junior Rick Cazares (San Jose, Calif.) stopped 29 shots in the Blue Devil net.

The Saints improved to 12-8-2 overall and 2-5-0 against NCAA competition while the Blue Devils, ranked No. 8 in NCAA Division III, fell to 12-3-1 overall.

Fredonia State returns to NCAA action Tuesday with a non-conference game at No. 7 ranked Rochester Institute of Technology.
