Fredonia State 14, RIT 6

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Aimee Baxter (East Rochester/East Rochester) scored four goals and three players had two goals each as Fredonia State downed RIT, 14-6, in a non-conference match.

Baxter's unassisted goal at the 20:14 mark of the first period put the Blue Devils (4-6) in the lead, 3-2. They would not trail thereafter.

Sara Potter (Pittsford/Pittsford Sutherland), Erynn Anderson (Dewitt/C.W. Barker), and Erin Schurr (Hamburg/Hamburg) each netted two goals. Bethany Cellura (Penfield/Penfield), Ashley Fanning (Geneva/DeSales), and Katelyn Ferry (Lancaster/Lancaster) had one goal and two assists each.

Fredonia State goalkeeper Kelly McLeod (Hamburg/Frontier) made 10 saves -- five in each half. The Blue Devils outshot RIT, 34-17.

Fredonia State will take a two-game winning streak into a Tuesday afternoon meeting with SUNYAC opponent Brockport. Game time is 4 p.m.
