Second straight road win for Fredonia State

ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Christie Zaganiaczyk (Lancaster/Lancaster) led Fredonia State with five goals in a 10-8 road win over Elmira College.

Katie Monaghan (Fairport/Fairport) had two goals, while Erin Schurr (Hamburg/Hamburg), Carrie Halstead (Penfield/Webster-Schroeder), and Jennifer Haas (Rush/Rush-Henrietta) had one goal each. Rebecca Erlichman (Pittsford/Pittsford Mendon) had three assists.

In the first period, Fredonia State scored five goals, three by Zaganiaczyk. The Blue Devils (3-2) outshot their hosts 26-17 with Blue Devil goalkeeper Sarah Wright (Rochester/Irondequoit) getting credit for seven saves.

Stephanie Walker (Corning/Corning East) led the Elmira offense with three goals. Goalkeeper Marlorie Stockwell (Baldwinsville/Liverpool) had 13 saves.

Fredonia States next game will be played Thursday at Oberlin College at 4:30 p.m.
