Devils Fall to Eagles

Fredonia, N.Y. -- The Brockport Golden Eagles (6-3, 3-2 SUNYAC) pulled out a close game with a 10-8 victory over the Blue Devils(7-4, 2-3 SUNYAC).

After freshman Kelsey Lamb (Niskayuna) scored the first goal at 3:40 in the first half, the Golden Eagles took a 5-1 lead into the second half.

In the second half the Blue Devils answered back with seven goals, four of which coming within the last ten minutes of the game. Christie Zaganiaczyk (Lancaster) and Kelsey Lamb each had three goals for the day, while Laura Culhane (Rochester/Gates-Chili) and Katie Monaghan (Fairport) both scored a goal.

Sarah Wright was credited with 12 saves.

The Blue Devils return to action Friday at home against Tri-State.
