Blue Devils beat Tigers on the road

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Fredonia scored seven straight goals after RIT jumped out to a 3-0 lead during the first half to come out with a 13-8 road win. Christie Zaganiaczyk (Lancaster/Lancaster) led the Blue Devil (5-5) offense, scoring four goals.

Fredonia goalkeeper Sarah Wright (Rochester/Irondequoit) faced 24 shots, making 11 saves for her team. RIT goalkeeper Kelsey Evans faced 37 shots, make 20 saves.

Also scoring for the Blue Devils were Katie Monaghan (Fairport/Fairport), Valerie Snider (Spencerport/Spencerport), and Leslie Von Pless (Liverpool/Liverpool) with two goals each, and Carrie Halstead (Penfield/Webster-Schroeder), Nicole VanEtten (Endicott/Union-Endicott), and Brittany McDevitt (Mendon/Honeoye Falls-Lima) each with one goal.

Fredonia continues on the road Friday playing SUNY Brockport at 4 p.m.
