Fredonia rolls over Morrisville

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- With strong winds and rain threatening, Fredonia State (7-6, 1-4) scored 11 first half goals to beat Morrisville 18-2.

Fredonia's offense was led by freshman Nicole Williams (West Seneca/West Seneca West) with four goals. Juniors Christie Zaganiaczyk (Lancaster/Lancaster), Leslie Von Pless (Liverpool/Liverpool), and senior Erin Schurr (Hamburg/Hamburg) scored three goals each.

Blue Devil goalkeeper Sarah Wright (Rochester/Irondequoit) had one save.

Before the game, senior defenseman Erin Schurr was honored for her four seasons as a Blue Devil.

Fredonia State's next game will be Saturday at SUNY Potsdam beginning at 1 p.m.
