Devils Hold Off Yeowomen

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Blue Devils (4-2, 0-1 SUNYAC) rebounded from their SUNYAC loss to Geneseo with a strong 17-2 win over the Oberlin College Yeowomen (2-5).

The Blue Devils maintained a balanced attack with nine different players netting goals. Stephanie Maderer (Orchard Park) and Alyssa Przydrozny (Marcellus) led the way with three goals apiece. Katie Monaghan (Fairport), Laura Culhane (Rochester/Gates-Chili), Kelsey Lamb (Niskayuna), and Emily Fink (Penfield) all contributed two goals.

Senior goalkeeper Sarah Wright (Rochester/Irondequoit) made three saves while notching her 24nd career win, a Fredonia State school record.

The Blue Devils travel to Cortland for their next game 1 p.m. Saturday.
