Blue Devils lose to Cortland

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State lost its first ever SUNYAC playoff game to the No 23. Cortland Dragons 16-7. After a strong showing by the Blue Devils in regular season play, they came up short in SUNYAC play.

Senior Christie Zaganiaczyk (Lancaster) along with senior Rebecca Erlichman (Pittsford/Pittsford Mendon)had two goals each. Emily Fink (Penfield) and Laura Culhane (Rochester/Gates-Chili)had two assists each.

Senior goalkeeper Sarah Wright (Rochester/Irondequoit) was credited with eight saves.

This was the final collegiate game for six seniors including; Sarah Wright (Rochester/Irondequoit), Stephanie Maderer (Orchard Park/Orchard Park), Janelle Giehl (Rochester/Irondequoit), Nicole VanEtten (Endicott/Union-Endicott), Leslie Von Pless (Liverpool) Christe Zaganiaczyk (Lancaster), and Rebecca Erlichman (Pittsford/Pittsford Mendon).
